The website of Cheam Woodturners Association - Society of Designer Craftsmen
The society promotes and supports the work of creative thinkers, designers and makers who continue to innovate in the crafts through their exploration of materials and skills. We have historical roots of which we are immensely proud. Founded in 1887 as the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society with Walter Crane, William Morris and William de Morgan amongst our distinguished forbears, we believe that we continue to uphold the values that they established.

We are a group of wood turners in East Sussex and West Sussex interested in woodturning and
related crafts such as carving, inlays, pierced turnings, pyrography etc. There are no barriers to
enjoying woodturning, you just have to have an interest in wood. We are affiliated to the AWGB.
